Happy Holidays!

Have a wonderful holiday everybody, I’m off to the Pacific Northwest this Christmas. I’m preparing myself for some cold, crisp weather and crossing my fingers it doesn’t rain. I wouldn’t mind waking up to a blanket of snow on the ground.

I’m ready to sit around the fire drinking a warm up of tea or hot chocolate or maybe even some spiced apple cider. This is one of my favorite things to do on a lazy day off with friends and family.

I’d love for the holidays to be lazy, but that never seems to happen. I’ve got parties to attend (one of which is my bridal shower), some last minute tree trimming to do and cookie making to be completed.

I want to take a moment to thank all of my Sacramento Street readers. Without you this blog wouldn’t be the same. Everyday I wake up thinking about how lucky I am to have such wonderful and supportive readers.

Holiday Guide: Your BFF

My last gift guide this season is a mix of perfect presents to get your best friend. I love roaming through stores finding the perfect something for a few of my besties. Hope this helps you pick out something perfect.

When John Derian first came out with these paperweights years ago, I picked out a cute little owl. It sits in my entry way where I stash my unopened mail. I’m a candle lover. There’s nothing like coming home from a long day at work, lighting some candles and reading a good book on the couch. Jonathan has never failed me with any of his scents, so this would be perfect if you need to get a last minute gift. Jonathan Adler Holiday Home Candle $38

I love reading a classic books. You can display them on a bookshelf and it’s like having your own art collection. I think anyone would be thrilled to receive any of these classics, especially Sense and Sensibility (one of my favorite’s). Peguin Classics $20

I’m Loving . . .

Ever since Ally from The Right Bank guest blogged about her 10 Things That Make Her Happy, I’ve been dreaming about this Chanel 2.55 luxury purse. I just can’t get it out of my head.

I’m hoping that one day (probably not in the near future) I’ll be able to carry this bag over my shoulder. For now I‘m going to have to keep dreaming about it, which isn’t that bad either.
