Also, one thing to note is that I got my passion for interior design from my mom. She used to take me to flea markets when we traveled to different countries – I always thought it was fascinating. She shaped my eye for finding those “hard to find” pieces and gave me a great sense of style through her aesthetic. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be immersed in interior design today.

When you look at our floor plan you realize how small our apartment really is - lots of friends and family are surprised that we've lived in such a small space for five years, but it's home and we haven’t gone stir crazy yet.
Thank you all again for your amazing support, lovely comments and emails about our home being featured - it truly warmed my heart and made my day, week, year! You are the best readers a gal could ask for. If you have any specific questions feel free to contact me.

I LOVE the paint color in your bedroom - mind sharing the brand and name? Thank you!!
Dana - Oh, it's even better in person! It's Benjamin Moore Harbor Gray.
So lovely, Caitlin! You have made such wonderful use of the space and have proven that style does not have to be compromised when living in a smaller home... smart uses and lovely touches to add personality :)

OMG that elephant!! I want to climb into these photographs and curl up on that loveseat:)
Thanks so much for this! The only thing better than seeing pics of your gorgeous home is knowing where to buy everything! And hearing your philosophy on decorating - so helpful and inspiring.

this is so pretty! you have such a good eye; you mix vintage/older pieces with such modern ones like the parsons tower/desk and it all looks cohesive. love the detail callouts & floorplan too...the space looks much larger than it is.
Love all your items in your home. Such great finds.

LOVE your home. Saw this and so happy you wrote everything down :) Lovely space kuddos
This is such a lovely space. I lived in SF for awhile, and our apartment was so small, I never figured out how to maximize the space as well as you have. And the finds from Alameda Flea Market! I wished I had the opportunity to stop by when I was there.
Cheers! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us.
Love the words about your mom. What a great way to get a feeling and understanding about other countries. Your home is beautiful.
Your home is gorgeous. My favourite is the bed head, it's just so perfect. Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE your mix of graphic linens on your bed. It looks so simple but I find it so hard to do! I've also been searching high and low for a wide/flat ottoman like yours. It's all very perfect; great taste! so nice to discover your blog this week!

I'm blown away! Your place is amazing!!!!!!!! I love all of the beautiful detail and the mix of old and new pieces. Wow!
Love, love, love! You may have mentioned this somewhere else, but where did you get that gorgeous headboard? My mom has a nightstand similar to yours - is that Korean antique furniture?

I love your apartment, but I also love the way you have labelled the origin of your furniture, paint and accessories. What a nice thing to do!
