on the menu: zesty rich hummus

Do you find yourself looking for an appetizer to bring to holiday party? Susan of Peas and Love here to share this smart choice to take to your next soiree.

Zesty Rich Hummus

1 can Organic Chickpeas, rinsed and drained
Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
2 small Garlic Cloves
2 Tbsp Tahini
1/2 an Avocado
1/2 cup Water
2 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Turmeric
Sea salt to taste
Pinch of Paprika


In a blender, bring all ingredients together and blend into a rich and smooth consistency, occasionally scraping down sides. Add more water to achieve desired consistency, if necessary. Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle over some paprika. Serve with pita, fresh cut veggies or bread.

    I’ve never made succesful hummus…I’m always looking for a new recipe to see if I can finally pin it down good! I’ll try this one out!
