We’ve had downright cold and foggy weather here in my neck of the woods. Luckily I’ve been able to stay warm in my new Carrots trench. With this gloomy weather it’s always hard for me to get inspired. So I decided to get out of this funk by focusing on designing my office, getting lost in a stack of international magazines to help boost my creative need and painting, which I have never done before. A goal of mine this summer was trying my hand at a few new things. Where have you been looking for inspiration lately?
This weekend I’ll be working on framing a few pieces for our art wall – it’s finally coming together. It’s been hard for me to make a decision where mirrors and art should go in this new apartment. Usually I’m very decisive. After a lot of thought, I think I’ve finally figured it out. Do you ever second guess yourself on hanging artwork? I’ll be working with Grant on a fun tabletop that will be featured here soon and then Sunday is dedicated towards purging and tagging items for a fun sale I’m doing (details next week)!
A few links that inspired me this week:
It feels like Fall in SF and I’m lusting after these Freda Salvador loafers for fall.
One of my favorite posts to read every week is Joslyn’s I’m Loving – I know I’ll be instantly inspired.
This handbag would be perfect for cramming all of my essentials for design meetings in.
A giant watermelon arrived in our farm box this week, which means I’ll be making this watermelon mojito.
I may be adding this striped tee into my collection.
And lastly, if you’re looking for some good tunes check out Jessica’s mixt tape it’s bound to get your shoulders and body doing a little gig.
