Living With Great Style

I’m Loving . . .

Emmanuelle Alt at Dries Van NotenStreet Style - Olivia

With my trip only a week away I’m in full outfit planning mode. I’m going for a very black and grey look for this trip – surprise, surprise! Both of the above outfits have been major inspiration as I put together my list. (images here and here)

Do you ever find yourself looking at a living room and loving everything? This living room is one of them. I love the all white modern look with a few rustic elements.

Rug | Local Milk Blog

I’ve been dreaming of rugs I hope to find in Istanbul. A runner has been at the top of my mom’s list for quite some time so I’m hoping we find the perfect one. If you’ve been to Istanbul and have a good rug source to go to I’d love to get the name – I have a list going.

Roasted Sweet Potato, Kale and Sage Quinoa | With Food and Love

This recipe is what I want for lunch every day – the combination of sweet potato (my favorite), kale, and sage just sounds scrumptious. I need to make a big batch of this at the beginning of the week.

Both of these rooms have my favorite map – I have the San Francisco version. I love the simplicity. (images here and here)

I just ordered 2 rugs for my clients from kilim.com, beautiful and they are shipped from Istanbul. Of course you are going to the source, so you will probably find so many beautiful things! Have a wonderful trip!

Where could I purchase that Paris map? If you don’t mind sharing :)

I forgot to comment last week, so hopefully this catches you! For rugs, check out Dhoku in the Grand Bazaar. They have several shop fronts and a never-ending selection. So professional to work with, and our rug arrived the week after we got home. They also sell to ABC Carpet & Home.

Other tips – Egin Textiles for Turkish towels and Sivasli Istanbul Yazmacisi for amazing textiles. Enjoy!
