Honestly, I cannot believe it has been five years since Sacramento Street started. When I first started this visual journal I wanted a place to call my own. I found myself ripping out pages of magazines and dreaming about designing homes. If you had asked me five years ago where I thought I’d be in the future, it would be working in a creative field. However, I can honestly say I never thought I’d be where I am today.
It’s not an easy business to be in – you have to work long hours, handle the ups and downs and realize that mistakes will only help you grow. In the end, if you love what you are doing and creating that’s all the matters. I feel lucky that at the end of each day no matter what happened I still love running and owning my own business. It makes me incredibly happy.
A HUGE thank you goes out to all of the dedicated readers that have been following along. All of you matter and I want you to know that without you reading and engaging this site wouldn’t be the same. I love reading your comments and those of you who email me I still get that giddy feeling when your email pops into my inbox. Keep them coming!
This next year there will be a lot of new things happening both here on Sacramento Street and the interior design side of the business. I’m going to be sharing more details about some amazing projects, showcasing a new series that I’ve been brainstorming and much more. If you have a certain topic you want me to cover or start focusing on just send over an email – I love hearing what you want to read and learn about on the blog.
Again, thank you for making this one of your reading destinations. I hope to keep inspiring you over many, many more years to come!
