Happy Monday! After a weekend of packing and packing and more packing, I couldn’t wait for this week to begin so I could sit at my desk working. We quickly realized that after packing up the kitchen and dining room we were living in a sea of boxes so I enlisted a few amazing girlfriends (Susan and Nicole) to help move them over to our new place. Which is now starting to look like our home.


Since almost all of my inspiration is packed away I thought I’d share with you a tiny corner of my bedside table that still brings me joy. Thanks to Natalie, this peony has made me smile each morning.


This past week we started major construction on our new apartment – walls are being torn down due to a major leak. While I’m trying to put on a “it’s all good” attitude, it has been a little nerve wracking. I’ve been running back and forth between apartments and meeting with contractors. So if this week a post is a little late, know it’s coming. I have some exciting posts for you – I’m unveiling before/after photos of our living room progress, a new treat from Susan and new weekender I tested out on my trip to Mexico. Stay tuned for a jam packed week!

After a weekend of packing up the apartment it felt as though I got a lot accomplish around here but it was only a fraction of what still needs to be packed up. I keep reminding myself that once we’re done it’ll feel amazing to be in a new home. It’s weird packing up a home you’ve lived in for so long (especially the first one you’ve created). I’ve been finding special memories in each drawer, boxes and cabinet I open. I was talking to a girlfriend this morning about how moving is one of the most emotional things you can do – you’re leaving a place you’ve called home, messing with your routine, and going somewhere you want to make a home as quickly as possible but it takes time. These next two weeks will be quite interesting. If you have any tips on packing, things to do before moving, or any other inspiring words please share!


A few things inspiring me this week – back issues of Domino Magazine, my trusty vintage tape measure that I carry everywhere, and my notebook filled with to-do lists.

It’s already been a hectic week and it’s only Monday. This week we’re starting to fix up our new apartment – painting starts tomorrow (I’m thrilled with the Benjamin Moore paint we picked out), light fixtures are arriving and we’re slowly but surely packing up the studio. I can’t believe we’re leaving our first home.


A few things I’m loving from last week – a tortoise shell I picked up in High Point, my new favorite Freda shoes that I can’t stop wearing, the luggage tag that went with me on my travels this past month, and lastly, two magazines I thoroughly enjoyed.


This week I’ll be sharing a delicious salad, my highlights from High Point, a new Room Anatomy and more!

Both Grant and I were incredibly inspired when walking through Hickory Chair, Century Furniture, Bernhardt, Cisco Home  and CR Laine. We were in awe of the way they designed each space. This photo in particular comes from the Oly Studio – it was heaven. I wanted to move right in!


Now I’m on the road to Charleston – I can’t wait to discover this southern city!

I have to say, the best thing I ever did was leave my computer at home for this trip – something I’ll be doing more often. Being completely unplugged made me enjoy days at the pool, sitting in a hammock for hours on end reading and enjoying the family around me. I’ll be sharing photos later this week.


This photo is from the hacienda we stayed at in Cuernavaca – the walls surrounding the house had stunning bougainvillea in tons of different shades of pinks, corals and magentas.


As for this week – I’ll be sharing the last recipe from Supper Club, a new workspace that will have you brimming with inspiration, and a new getaway series. Friday I’ll be sharing from fun news – it’s been in the works for a few weeks now and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

I’m excited for the many journey’s ahead. So this weekend, although I had to work, I did a have a little time to enjoy the city – brunch with high school friends, did some treasure hunting at the flea market and finished off the weekend by celebrating my hubby’s birthday.


A few things that inspired me this week – the brand new issue of The Gentlewoman, fresh blooms, a necklace I’ve been wearing recently from Erica Tanov and a Picasso book I bought at the Alameda Flea market this weekend.


Tomorrow Eric and I are off to Mexico City (where I grew up) and Cuernavaca for my cousins wedding. Since Eric has never seen where I grew up I can’t wait to play tour guide – we’ll be walking the streets of Polanco, going to museums (I cannot wait to see the Freda exhibit), eating delicious food and seeing where the days take us. I can’t wait to be on the plane. The best part, I’m truly taking a vacation – no computer! There might be a few instagrams here and there but for the most part I’ll be offline.

With a new week ahead I feel ready to hit this busy week full throttle. I’m starting the week in Arizona for my last trip to visit Eric before he comes home from Spring Training – boy am I glad it’s almost over. It’s going to be so nice having him back home. Today I’m taking a road trip to spend the day at a beautiful hotel that I’ll be featuring soon in my Getaway series. I can’t wait to share this one – it’s gorgeous.


A few things inspiring me this week – pinning from my iPad mini (the best travel companion), my Super Retro sunglasses, the Clare Vivier leopard wallet that I can’t be without, my Rodin lip gloss, and lastly my new pair of Poppy Barley made to measure boots (check back tomorrow for their amazing giveaway).


This week we have an AMAZING line-up here on Sacramento Street – as you saw yesterday, Susan and I hosted a Supper Club and we’ll be sharing our first of four recipes with you. I love coming home to our wonderful apartment, in a neighborhood that I love and getting back into my normal routine. Although I have to say – it’s nice to get some vitamin D and a little color.


Usually I have a handful of items inspiring me but today I wanted to share a pillow I picked up in Summerland, near Santa Barbara. It was like love at first sight when I stumbled across it at botanik and it goes beautifully in our apartment.

This week I have a lot in store for you – Susan cooked up a delicious salad that we’ll be sharing tomorrow. I’m unveiling a new workspace from a creative gal that I admire dearly, and Brittany will be sharing a fun new room anatomy post that I can’t wait to share.

After a relaxing and refreshing weekend up in Sonoma celebrating good friend Kelley Moore’s birthday, I’m ready for this week to begin. We’ve been having beautiful spring time weather here in SF and I’m definitely going to take advantage of it before I leave for Arizona. Friends, I can’t tell you how excited I am to see Eric – he has been down at Spring Training since late February. This is definitely the rough part about being a baseball wife, but I love that he is working in his dream job and I now have the luxury of working when I travel.


A little inspiration for this week – a beautiful necklace I picked up while shooting Joanna Williams workspace, the new Living Etc., and lastly these anemones that have been sitting on my coffee table. What has been inspiring you?


This week we have a delicious recipe, a new flower series starting with Natalie Bowen and another Getaway feature (the Sonoma house I had the pleasure of staying at this weekend).
