Living With Great Style

Weekend Inspiration

Hello weekend! What are all of you up to this weekend? After a busy week working from Arizona and then coming back to non-stop meetings, I’m thrilled the weekend is here. It’s time to pack up my weekender and take a little road trip down with my mom to Pacific Grove for a little family time. I can’t wait to enjoy some quality time by their outdoor fireplace, catch up with my cousin and best of all, enjoy homemade ravioli’s that melt in your mouth (yum!).

Enjoy a few of my favorite links from the week!

– I was smitten by the features of our apartment on Style Me Pretty earlier this week – our home tour and behind the blog.

– Have you entered our amazing giveaway? You can enter to win a pair of custom Poppy Barley boots and $550 to go towards your perfect Saturday!

– Check out the newly launched site – Project Bly. It’s full of treasures from Mumbai.

– When Eric gets home I’ll be having him make these donuts.

– These scenes from Mexico are getting me excited for my upcoming trip.

– My latest article for Euro Lighting is live and I’m talking about kids room lighting.

– And lastly, there’s a new shop on Sacramento Street that I can’t get enough of – The Future Perfect.

Hope you all have a glorious weekend!

Outtakes: Style Me Pretty Living

Today I’m thrilled to share our apartment on Style Me Pretty Living and an interview! It hasn’t been featured since last fall and we’ve updated a few things. We added a new Serena & Lily headboard, a pair of vintage leather chairs in the bay window, and a piece of artwork by Jennifer Ament above our sofa. On this shoot I had the pleasure of working with the ever so talented Bess Friday. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to work with her and this seemed like the perfect occasion. Working with her for a day was a dream – her eye for photographs is amazing.

Hop on over to read the interview and when you’re done check out the brand new Style Me Pretty Living – it just launched in mid-March and its chalked full of inspiring interiors. A huge thanks to the SMP ladies for featuring me today!

press: apartment therapy

A few months ago Apartment Therapy approached me about featuring our tiny abode as a house tour – I was incredibly flattered. Well friends, yesterday it graced the pages of Apartment Therapy and I’m delighted to say it got a positive response (something I was nervous about). The ever so lovely Leela Cyd Ross took the stunning photos and I thought I’d share a few outtakes here.

A few items have changed in our apartment – new coffee table and light on my desk from HD Buttercup SF (which is becoming my new go-to shop), got a new pillow for the chair in the window from West Elm (it’s SO soft) and I’ve re-arranged our West Elm bookcase.

I’d like to give a big shout out to my favorite shops to source items for my apartment – HD Buttercup SFWest ElmSummer House in Mill Valley, GrenouilleDesigner Fluff, and Erica Tanov Marin.

Be sure to head over to the feature for the entire home tour.

Thanks again for all of the amazing support friends! This blog wouldn’t be the same without you. I’ve got to say, you keep me motivated to keep inspiring you daily.

home sweet home

A few weeks ago I made some small decorating changes in our apartment that I’m excited to share with you. I added in a stunning Moroccan tray on our dining room table, created an art wall above the couch, and the best addition is our new coffee tables from HD Buttercup that I’m in l-o-v-e with! After living in our apartment for almost seven years it’s fun to do a little redecorating to make it feel clean and fresh for spring.

Style at Home: Glitter Guide Feature!

Today I’m excited to be featured on the one and only Glitter Guide. When Taylor came to me about the idea of Glitter Guide I was sold. Then she mentioned that she wanted to feature me – I was shocked. Since I’m not a style blogger I’m not used to being in front of the camera, but with the help of Taylor, Alicia and the amazingly talented Michelle Drewes, I was immediately put at ease once the shoot happened.

You sure do know how to make a girl blush with all of the kind words I’ve already received on twitter and Glitter Guide! Thanks for the support lovelies. Means the world to me!
