Alright folks, although I entered a little late for the Apartment Therapy Small Cool 2012 contest this year, I truly believe that with your help we can make this happen! I know it’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m 100% ready. I’m going to need every single readers help with voting. First and foremost – I’m SO excited to be nominated. It’s the semi-finals right now and voting ends on Monday. Let’s just say every vote at this point counts. If I make it through to the finals I’d definitely use it towards the blog – making it an even more desirable place to come visit daily. Just think – new blog re-design, new original content series shot professionally, and more!

february showers design challenge by minted

This month I’m honored to be guest judging the Minted Design Challenge along with Erin from Design for Mankind and Meg from A Practical Wedding. Let me just tell you, I’m overwhelmed and blown away with the amazingness that is already flooding in – it’s going to be quite a challenge to pick my favorite. With only ten days left to submit your unique shower invitations for brides, moms-to-be or couples either getting married or having a baby, you better get designing readers! I know there are TONS of creative people out there that need to start designing.


These are just a few that I’m loving right now, but I have a feeling we’ll be getting tons more submissions in the next couple of days that I’ll be going gaga over. Hope to see all of you over on Minted! Let the creative juices start following!

Happy {busy} Weekend!

Friday is finally here, this week has felt incredibly long. This weekend I’ll be running wedding errands, prepping for seating chart planning, relaxing while outlining our ceremony with Eric, enjoying a long time favorite dinner spot with my BFF and doing brunch and some Palm Springs shopping with friends. Let’s hope I have enough time to get everything done.

GIVEAWAY: Ormonde Jayne London Perfume

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to do a special giveaway with one of my favorite brands of perfume, Ormonde Jayne. About a year ago I was introduced to Ormonde Jayne by a friend, Violet Devereaux. The moment she opened her bottle of Champaca for me, I was head over heels in love.

Ormonde Jayne, the London-based perfumery kindly contacted me asking if I’d like to host a giveaway and have one of my lucky readers receive a bottle of their Champaca perfume.

For those of you who want to know what Champaca might smell like, it’s a tiny pale orange flower from India. Related to the magnolia and deemed sacred in the Indus Valley, the Champaca flower absolute is a heavenly, creamy, floral scent – both elegant and intimate.
