It’s that time of year, where doorsteps are being decorated with pumpkins, days are getting shorter and it’s nearing the end of one of my favorite fall things to do – apple picking. In our house we’re a little more than obsessed with apples. Both of us have an apple a day and this time of year they are better than ever. So we set out and head up north to do a bit of apple picking to make delicious crisps, turnovers, you name it!

One thing I love about setting out on this adventure is putting together a true fall look – taking out my fall sweaters, boots and plaid scarves. It truly makes it feel like fall is officially here, even if it is a bit mild this year.

What layers do you love pairing together for outdoor adventures during the fall?

Four Favorites: Vests

Four Favorites : Vests | Sacramento Street

Friends, I have a new fall wardrobe staple obsession – vests. With our weather staying pretty warm here in San Francisco, it hasn’t felt like fall. But I’ve been dying to transition over my closet to sweaters, scarves and anything cozy. One way I’ve been able to make my outfits feel a little more like fall is by layering on a vest. I’m currently obsessed with this faux-fur vest from Madewell – I’m pretty sure I paired it with every outfit I wore last week . . . no matter how warm it was. It will be worn to shreds this fall season.

Have you seen any must-have vests around this season?

1.) Handmade Long Waistcoat

2.) Faux-Fur Zip Vest

3.) Excursion Vest in Pinstripe

4.) Rabbit-fur Gilet

Layer It: Mid-Week Lunch Date

There is nothing I love more than meeting up with girlfriends for a mid-week lunch date. It’s a time to check in with each other, chat about life and check out from our hectic work days to enjoy some quality time with each other. This isn’t a weekly occurrence, but when they are planned it seems to make my weeks go by quickly. Don’t we all need a little of that sometimes? With one planned this week in my schedule, I’m eager to tackle my to-do list.

Four Favorites : Fall Jackets

Four Favorites: Fall Jackets | Sacramento Street

Let’s be honest, when fall comes around what item do you first think about purchasing? I personally think about what jacket I’ll be investing in for fall. It’s usually the one piece of clothing that I end up wearing day in and day out – so it has to be just right. As I began my search last week for that “perfect” jacket I came across quite a handful that I fell in love with . . . which is a problem. So I need your guidance, which jacket do you adore the most? Aren’t all of them great options. Help a girl out!

1.) Pinstripe Bomber Jacket

2.) Miltary Anorak

3.) Double-Cloth Car Coat
