As the week winds down I’m ready for the weekend that lies ahead – a birthday celebration for a friend, Eric will be home and on Sunday, I’ll be photographing a stunning workspace for the third installment of the series that will go live next week. Friends, this is going to be a good one!

It’s time to get casual, kick up my feet, enjoy a little time at home with Eric and do a little bit of redecorating. With a busy work week I haven’t had time to think about our brand new headboard arriving. We feel all grown up – with that being said, our tiny little lamps and nightstands aren’t working for me. The proportion is completely off – cue the designer in me. So, this weekend I’ll begin the hunt.
This week I had the pleasure of guest blogging on the lovely Victoria of sfgirlbybay’s blog – I debuted a new series I’ll be doing every other week here on Sacramento Street called Room Anatomy. I’ll be taking some of my favorite rooms and dissecting them with furniture you can purchase yourself to re-create the room. Check out the first one here.
In other news, yesterdays post on Erica Tanov’s workspace received a lovely response – the emails, comments and pins all warmed my heart. It was a special post to feature and to my surprise Remodelista gave it a little shout out with its very own post. I was and still am in awe! To be mentioned and blogged about on one of my favorite blogs is pretty amazing.
So as I dance into the weekend with a little gig from everything that happened this week, I hope all of you have a wonderful first weekend of September planned for yourself.

Labor day represents the end of summer but I feel like it’s just beginning here in San Francisco – the weather is finally warming up and I’ve got a few weekend trips coming my way. But this weekend I’ll be enjoying home. When everyone leaves the city there is a sense of peace – you can get into any restaurant you’ve been wanting to try, spend time at home organizing (something I need desperately to do) and enjoy some family time.

With chilly temps here in the city I’ve been breaking out my fall wardrobe a little early. This weekend will be a combination of work and play. With the help of my new intern (yay!), we’ll be packaging up the items that have already sold on One Kings Lane. If you haven’t checked it out be sure to pop over – there are still some amazing items left, including a french cafe table and architectural prints that would make for stunning art wall.

Happy Friday friends! It’s funny that every week I mention that I’m winding down from another busy week – but who isn’t busy? Sometimes I feel as though everyone is running around from Monday to Friday and when Friday night hits the only thing I want to do is put on my comfies and be at home. Tonight in particular I’m ready for a night of catching up on magazines, while sipping a warm cup of tea (yes, it’s cold enough here!) and watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. Yes, I’m one of those people that gets into the games. I can’t wait to watch athlete’s race their heart out in all of these sports. Are you excited for them to begin?
