I’ve been following Holly Becker of Decor8 for years and years (since 2006) – it’s one of the first blogs I started reading. It ultimately inspired me to start Sacramento Street over three years ago. I couldn’t believe it when I was asked to participate in the Decorate Workshop, A Creative 8 Step Process for Transforming Your Home book tour.


In Holly’s second fabulous book, she shares all of her design secrets and also the eight step process/workshop to help you transform a home or room that will reflect your personal style. This is something a lot of people struggle with – no need to fear anymore friends. Holly asks questions throughout the book that will have you getting one step closer to your perfect interior style. happy weekend + a winner!

Happy Friday friends! It’s funny that every week I mention that I’m winding down from another busy week – but who isn’t busy? Sometimes I feel as though everyone is running around from Monday to Friday and when Friday night hits the only thing I want to do is put on my comfies and be at home.  Tonight in particular I’m ready for a night of catching up on magazines, while sipping a warm cup of tea (yes, it’s cold enough here!) and watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. Yes, I’m one of those people that gets into the games. I can’t wait to watch athlete’s race their heart out in all of these sports.  Are you excited for them to begin?

Our neighborhood is full of amazing small boutiques – one of the many reasons we have never moved. Over the past seven years I’ve been able to build relationships with the small business owners of many of the shops – even if it’s a quick wave as I’m walking by.
