Living With Great Style

I’m Loving . . .

This week’s “I’m Loving” feature is centered around one thing – Jenna Lyons home that was recently featured in British Vogue. Although her home has been featured in dozens of magazines and sites, it’s constantly evolving each and every year. Seeing how she changes her space brings me inspiration to do a little re-decorating of my own.

What makes this feature is the person behind the lense – Todd Selby. The way he captures a room is impeccable. I am crossing my fingers that he uploads some photos that weren’t published on his site. Believe me ladies, it’s worth picking up this issue for the images and the article.

effortless parings

Last week I posted about the J.Crew tumblr site inspiration board – all of the pops of color! Well wouldn’t you know it that this week more of their outfit parings caught my eye. spring staple

Finding a sample for spring that transitions into summer is hard to find. I’ve been searching far and wide for a go-to outfit but couldn’t find anything until this week. This casual but chic ensemble was exactly what I was looking to find. The heels and leather jacket dress up the look, but the rolled up chinos and gray tee make it a little more casual for the months ahead. It must have been fate that I came across this because I just bought a pair of chinos from JCrew this weekend with a girlfriend – I left hoping to find inspiration for styling the pants, and voila, look what I came across.

I’m hoping these oxfords have a home in my closet soon! Have you found your staple look for this season?

a pop of jcrew . . .

This past weekend I had the pleasure of popping into the JCrew in Corta Madera – my favorite location in the Bay Area (Carmel’s is out of this world too!). As I walked into the store I finally felt inspired to transition my wardrobe from winter to spring. It’s time to bring out the cotton and color and store the wool. We all know that I’m a stripe-aholic – beware my fellowstripe lovers, the store is packed full of striped goodness along with pops of color that had my creative outfit juices flowing (Alicia and Taylor would have been so proud). In the end I walked away with loads of inspiration about what to do with clothes I already own. I also walked away with a pair of slouchy khaki pants to roll up.

I’m ready to bust out some pops of color in the next few days – especially since the sun is shining bright! Where are all of you finding spring outfit inspiration?

hello december . . .

Where did November go? It was here one minute and the next it’s done, over, finito. I welcome the holidays with open arms! I’m ready for Christmas music, cookies, wrapping presents, decorating, hot cocoa with lots of whipping cream, holiday parties and spending time with friends and family. There is nothing like the holiday season – cheer is in the air.

A big thank you goes out to Sacramento Street’s December sponsors – Bustle Designs, Cottage Farm, Erica Tanov and Janezic. I’m incredibly lucky to call all four of them sponsors. Be sure to check them all out, they are all wonderful.

Happy Holidays!
