Living With Great Style

New Beginnings in 2010

In 2010 it’s all about new beginnings for me. Why you might ask? I’ll be getting married in April and changing my name, yes that mean’s no more Goebel. I’m excited for the journey into a new me.
With 2010 in full swing I feel like I should divulge some of the many goals on my new years resolution list:
* Clean out every closet in our apartment before we get married.
* Buy a new mattress (ours is 15 years old), I think it’s about time.
* Stay calm during these months before the wedding (aka, not freak outs).
*Get my apartment photographed and published for a blog or publication.
* Let Eric plan the honeymoon, not me.
* Buy a camera (either Nikon or Canon) to document the coming months festivities.
* Start working on getting Sponsors for Sacramento Street.
* Travel somewhere out of the country.
* Finish working on my very first interior design job. Then start building up more clients.

This weekend Eric and I checked one of these resolutions off my list. We cleaned every closet, cabinet, and drawer in our apartment. Although it took a LONG time organizing everything, it now feels amazing having everything so tidy. We even went out and go a new West Elm Parsons desk for me.

By doing a little organizing it definitely feels like a fresh start to the new year.

Happy New Years Eve!

What I love about NYE is that you can do something different every year. One year you can go up to the mountain and sit by the fire drinking hot chocolate and/or champagne, the next year you can host a party (like I am doing this year) and invite all of your friends, or you can just stay home and enjoy some much needed R&R. This year I’ll be putting on my heels and heading out with a bunch of friends. I don’t think I’ve dressed up this much for NYE in a long long time. How are all of you celebrating New Year’s Eve this year?

I want to thank all of my family, my friends, my readers, my fellow bloggers, and most importantly to all of you who have shown me their support since I started my blog this year.

Here’s to a happy, healthy, and wonderful 2010!

Happy {cozy reading} Weekend + Link Love

Hello weekend, it’s wonderful that you’re finally gracing me with your presence. With a whirl wind week that felt like I never stopped to breath, I’m definitely ready for the weekend.

We’re heading to the Oregon Duck game against Stanford; let’s hope the rain doesn’t come. It should be another great game, especially since we’re going with a huge group.

Sunday I’m taking it easy by catching up on my reading and hanging out with my BFF. Reading needs to happen Sunday because I haven’t even started my book club book and our dinner is in two weeks, whoops.

If you haven’t read any of these posts, they are a must read! Welcome to my new Friday link love:

It’s an everyday life with Paloma from La Dolce Vita.

Loving convex? Well, I am and fell in love with some of the images Plush Palate featured.

Looking for a chic New York hotel to say at next time you plan a trip, stay at The Crosby

Take a peak into Kevin Chin and Nancy Liu Chin’s San Francisco loft that coco+kelley gave us.

Office inspiration is something I can look at for days. Check out what Delight by Design featured.

Who doesn’t love winter whites? Dress, design & décor show us how soft and romantic it can be.

Have an amazing weekend lovelies. I hope all of you have some time to relax this weekend as well.

10 Things That Make Me Happy: Plush Palate

10 Things that Make Me Happy was the first thing I turned to when I got Domino in the mail, so I figured; why not bring it back here? When I first started thinking about what type of guest post I’d want to feature on Sacramento Street, I tried to imagine who I’d want to have as my very first guest and who better than Crystal, author of Plush Palate. I’m truly honored to have her on my blog today. Her stylish and sophisticated blog is my first stop during my morning reading routine.

I couldn’t be happier to have one of my first friends in the blogosphere guest post for me today. We found out early on that we had a lot in common. Crystal not only manages her inspirational blog, but also works in the publishing world, does freelance writing and is working on a top-secret business plan, which is very exciting! Wouldn’t we all like to know more? She promises we’ll all find out soon.

When I got Crystal’s 10 Things that Make Me Happy list I fell in love with everything and I think you will too.

Thanks again Crystal for guest posting today!
