Living With Great Style

sneak peek: glitter guide shoot

This past Sunday the Flemming household was taken over by the amazingly talented Glitter Guide team, Taylor and Alicia. Let me tell you, there was never a dull moment – from the constant humming and dancing of Alicia, to the wardrobe changes, to the wind blowing my hat off my head (got to love SF’s gusts of wind). Let’s just say we had a blast and I’m excited to share just a few sneak peek photos that Alicia took throughout the day. You’ll have to wait to see the rest once Glitter Guide launches mid-June. Enjoy!

Sacramento Street on ElleDecor.com!

What a great way to end a wonderful week. I’m so tickled to have been featured on Elle Decor’s websiteone of my all time favorite magazines. Since it’s a magazine that I’ve been reading since I can remember, it means even more to be part of their “Design Insiders’ Weekly Finds.”

If you’ve never been to Jessica’s utterly inspiring blog, Destined to Design – go now! When I need a burst of inspiration it’s the first place I go. Plus, she’s the sweetest lady out there in the blogsphere.

Hope of all of you have a lovely weekend – I’m off to celebrate with a little bubbly!

psst . . . matchbook magazine launched!

The premiere issue of Matchbook Magazine is here – full of fabulous interviews including the one and only Rita Konig, the fabulous Lela Rose (my bridesmaids dresses where designed by her) and the oh so dapper John Derian. I feel incredibly lucky to have had one tiny feature – they asked a group of us What film has had the greatest influence on your personal style? – I feel honored and privileged to be amongst some of the best; Joanna from A Cup of Jo, Grace from design*sponge, Anna Spiro of Absolutely Beautiful Things, Roseline from This Is Glamorous and many more.

If you haven’t been able to dive head first into the first issue be sure to head on over. I’d love to know what your favorite section is!

A BIG thank you to the Matchbook team for bringing us a BURST of inspiration. You ladies did a phenomenal job on this issue!

big news . . .

Sitting down to write this post, I can’t begin to think of what to write – my mind is completely blank. When the final version of my 7×7 Magazine feature landed in my inbox, I gasped for air, my jaw dropped to the ground and I may have been bouncing up and down at my desk. Coming up with the overall tabletop design and every single detail was so much fun. I enjoyed every minute of it – from finding family heirlooms, to bringing the chartreuse green branches and lotus ponds on the plane with me (flight attendant couldn’t believe it), to waking up before the sunrise to go to the flower market. This table was a labor of love.

A big thank you goes out to Leilani Marie Labong for selecting me to be to featured for this 7×7 Magazine piece. Seeing our ideas come alive was so much fun and your writing captured every detail. I’m truly honored to be part of the December 2010 Holiday issue.
