Living With Great Style

Room Anatomy

Hi Friends! Brittany from Authenticity B. here again – I’m thrilled that the first posting of the Room Anatomy series was well received! Let’s move from the Brooklyn brownstone to dissecting a simplistic country home dining space. I love the warmth and rustic feel that the camel brown leather gives this clean white space. The chrome of the pendant lights and accenting the dining chairs brings the perfect amount of a polished and refined touch to this space. Add in clusters of glass candle votives, a couple petite white flower arrangements, wood handled flatware, simple white plate set and I see the perfect tablescape for a little dinner party with friends!  I hope some of the following resources can help you create a similar feel in your very own dining space.

snuggled down . . .

When I spotted this beautiful room over on Miss Erin’s blog, it immediately had me daydreaming of going home to curl up in a comfty outfit with my luscious faux fur blanket accompanied by a cup of Mariage tea and my brand new book. With the hectic week I’ve had I thought that instead of going home to work, it is a perfect night to keep my computer in my work bag and check out for a night. Nite, nite lovelies – I’ll be back tomorrow!

Perfection: Malene Birger’s Home

There aren’t many words to describe this Cophenhagen home, except for the fact that it’s utter perfection. Danish fashion designer Malene Birger’s home is filled with treasures that any women would dream of having.

The photos speak for themselves; the coats, shoes, earrings and decor are perfectly placed. Skona hem did a phenomenal job photographing this inspiring home.

Chairs: Taupe, Red, Ivory, Oh My!

I’d DIE to have this chair in my apartment right this very minute. The color, the buttons, and the silver chrome. Ahh…it’s killing me.

Everyone loves a good pattern. The white and red geometric print is fabulous. This is the Brooklyn townhouse of interior designer Demi Adeniran, who owns the home furnishing shop Fabrica

I love the look of this living room, but the chair just looks like it needs to have someone sitting in it. I’d me more than happy to do so with a good book. The fact that people are still designing rooms in whites makes me smile. I love a white room, especially the color of the walls with the pictures on it. I also love the white curtains and ivory chair.
