Here in San Francisco we can’t complain about out mild, year round weather – it’s something that I definitely love about living here. For us, cold weather is usually a summer day when the fog won’t leave. These past few days we’ve been experiencing cold, wet and windy weather – boy do we need the rain.
Although we stayed indoors for a good portion of the weekend, we did manage to get out quite a bit. I think when you have a little one you can only stay inside for so long. This was my uniform as we braved the rain during our walks. Honestly, I could wear this outfit everyday. It’s so cozy.
As the air grows cooler all I can think about is layering up my favorite fall pieces. I’m a sucker for cozy knits, beautiful coats and boots. If I could wear them year round I totally would. It’s my favorite time of year.
When it comes to layering fall favorites I tend to stick to my neutral palette so that everything can mix and match seamlessly. The key is to have the perfect fall coat that can go with everything – day or night. This is a new favorite I’m lusting over – I love the fact that it has a hood.
Do you have a fall coat you’re loving this season?
This is my uniform – neutrals from head to toe. I’ve tried to incorporate color into my wardrobe, but I just can’t make it happen . . . unless you count navy or an occasional bright scarf? When I came across these street style shots I instantly became inspired. There is something incredibly chic about black, white and gray ensembles. What do you think?
