Layer It: Happy Hour

Layer It - Happy Hour | Sacramento Street

Are you on the hunt for pieces that work from day to night? I’m constantly on the lookout for pieces that I can wear during the day that transition well for a happy hour or dinner with friends at night. I don’t always get to come home first to change into something new. I tend to gravitate towards a more casual look at night – give me a pair of skinny jeans, a blouse and a pair of flats and I’m good to go. What is your favorite go-to look for a happy hour out with girlfriends?

The Basics:

1.) Skin 5 Mid-rise Skinny Jeans

The Layers:

7.) Leopard Print Pointed Toe Flat (love these options as well!)

More of our happy hour favorites!

Four Favorites: Summer Heels

Four Favorites - Summer Heels | Sacramento Street
Although you can usually find me running around in flats most of the time, this season I’ve been attracted to chunky heels and wedges. My new go-to sandal is by Vince – they are incredibly comfortable (essential in my eyes!). Since I’ve found a heel that works for me I thought I’d share a handful of others that I’ve got my eye on. Indian Summer is right around the corner for us here in San Francisco. Do you have a favorite sandal you’re loving this summer?

More heels I can’t get enough of this season!

Layer It: A Hot/Humid Day

LayerIt - Hot/Humid Day | Sacramento StreetSummer weather has hit most of the country in full force. Last week when I was road tripping through Oregon we hit some areas that were in the triple digits. Honestly, thats a little too hot for my taste. Since I’m not used to those temperatures I had some wardrobe adjusting to do. This look was my go-to ensemble for most of the trip. Who can go wrong with jean shorts and a sleeveless tunic? It’s the perfect combo. What do you normally wear to beat the heat?

Four Favorites

Four Favorites - Sunglasses | Sacramento Street

Every summer I get the itch for a new pair of sunglasses – I ultimately end up buying a pair every few years but it’s fun see what’s out there in case a style catches my eye. This year was the year to purchase a pair. My current sunnies were scratched, bent and pretty much falling apart . . . I guess that’s what happens when you don’t put them in a case. Since I was on the hunt for a new pair I thought I’d share my findings. I have to tell you, there are some show stoppers out there. Now the questions is, which ones will last me a few years? Which are your favorite?

1.) Silenty Round-framed Sunglasses

2.) Club Fox 54mm Sunglasses

3.) Prada 54mm Cat Eye Sunglasses

4.) Illesteva Lily Sunglasses

More sunglasses I’m coveting!
