Living With Great Style

happy holiday weekend!

Can you believe it’s already July? I certainly can’t. Summer, if you can hear me, “please stop going by so fast. I’d like to enjoy every single day.” This weekend we will be staying in the city enjoying the calm while everyone else retreats to warmer locations a few hours away. I’m excited for my mom to be in town (Alameda flea market – watch out!), getting into restaurants that are usually packed, taking a day trip to Marin and of course spending Fourth of July at a baseball game with family – it couldn’t get more perfect than that. What are all of you doing this long holiday weekend?

I’d like to welcome two new sponsors to Sacramento Street - Michelle Drewes, a very talented photographer that I’ve recently had the pleasure to work with recently and Rugs USA. If you’re looking for something new this is the place to go because they have a great selection. Also, be sure to enter the West Elm giveaway – I’ll be selecting a winner next Friday!

Have a lovely holiday weekend no matter where you’ll be and enjoy the sunshine!

xx, Caitlin

TGIF!

As temperatures rise across the country I’m longing to see a break in the clouds with a sliver of sunshine beaming down. It’s high time for Bay Area weather to peak over 58 degrees. So I’m bringing myself a little bit of hope and inspiration for when those days come in the near future (right Mother Nature?) . . .

A light and airy summer dress is definitely a must-have for warmer temps and of course who wouldn’t want to pair it with a chic hat . . . do you have a favorite this season?

Warm days call for spending as much time outdoors – eating breakfast while reading the newspaper, curling up in that perfect spot to catch some rays and of course throwing impromptu dinner parties to savor the sun setting a little later as each day passes. What do you have planned to take advantage of the warmer temperatures? Indulge me because it’s supposed to rain this weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Enjoy the sunshine where ever you might be.

xo,
Caitlin

outside relaxation . . .

This week has flown by, I haven’t found myself counting down the hours until Friday – believe me, usually I am, but I’ve got too many exciting projects going on that make me smile each and everyday. When you do something you love, time doesn’t seem to matter.

Unfortunately, because I’ve been so busy with projects and putting back together our apartment, I’m going to have to leave you dreaming of laying outside on this amazing hammock. I can’t decide if I’d be reading or taking a nap, which would you prefer? Maybe I’d do a little of both.

white + light . . .

June is officially here, and I couldn’t be more excited that summer is just around the corner. I’m excited to wake up to the sun gazing in my windows, fresh flowers from the farmers market in the apartment, sun filled days by the ocean (I sometimes forget how close it is), and changing my bedding over to clean crisp whites – there’s something incredibly refreshing about that.

What do you looking forward to this summer? Farmers markets? Picnics in the park? Weekend getaways out of the city?

refreshing sunlight . . .

I love this time of year. When the sun is shining, temperatures are rising (only happening outside SF), birds are chirping and everyone you pass on the street has a smile on their face. We’re been getting a few sun filled days, but I’m waiting with baited breath until this rain leaves for good. I can handle the fog, but rain is NOT ok. Bring on the sun gods – we need a little ray of sunshine and some vitamin D!

Don’t you just love how the sun beams into every photo? It’s what I love about each one of these images.

Also, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!
