The New Year brings on a frenzy to do, including a massive clean out of closets with several trips to goodwill. I’ve been doing that the past week, but now I have an itch to do a bit of redecorating around the house to start off 2015. First order of business was to pull inspiration – I’m drawn to the all white, cozy rugs and endless unique pillows from all of these images. From there I put together a list of several things I’m on the hunt for – a few rugs, throw pillows, a wing-back chair and more.
1.) African Mud Cloth Pillow | 2.) Luxurious Reindeer Fur Throw
3.) Vintage Beni Ourain Moroccan Carpet | 4.) Wool Felt & Canvas Pillow
5.) Town & Country Wool Blanket| 6.) Mongolian Lamb Grey Pillow Case
7.) Vintage Persian Meshed Carpet
One of my first stops is always Chairish – you never know what unique items you can find on their site. One client bought a pair of chairs from Chairish for $200 (they were meant to be completely redone) and reupholstered them in a stunning fabric. The chairs are now the highlight of their family room. I’m mostly looking for items to make my home feel a little more cozy these winter months. I pulled together a few of my favorites (above) that I’d love to add to my house.
Shop more of my favorites at Chairish.
This post is a partnership with Chairish. All opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting sponsored posts that keep Sacramento Street doors open.
I’ve been on a navy and black kick with my outfits this winter – and this makes me love it even more.
I’m attempting to clean out my workspace before 2014 gets here – I hope it looks something like this in the end.
Every single thing in this instagram that Sara Kate Studios posted is perfection – if you don’t follow her I highly recommend it. You’ll be inspired by every post.
This weekend I’m finally going to get into the kitchen to bake some holiday cookies. I love the idea of using old glasses to make patterns. Genius!
This weekend I might spend an entire day in my pajamas – it sounds like a luxury and something I need. Don’t you just feel like you need to do it sometimes?
I’ve been waiting to reveal my news to you until my last day of work – I quit my job! I’ve been afraid, nervous and also very excited to share this with all of you because I don’t have my business page up yet, but instead of keeping it a secret I wanted to get it out there in the world. I’ll be working with design clients, styling photo shoots for publications and lookbooks, and helping small (and large) businesses grow their social media strategies. I’m thrilled to focus on my own way now. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart and it seemed like the perfect window of opportunity to dive into this new endeavor. I know this road will be bumpy but if I didn’t take the leap I’d never know what it would be like or what I can accomplish. So, I’m giving myself this opportunity and hopefully as this window closes many more will open up to me.
I can’t wait to see Sacramento Street grow and dive into fun, challenging and exciting projects in the near future! Definitely keep me in mind if you hear of any opportunities where you think I’d fit.
Cheers to all of you for being amazing supporters of Sacramento Street – without you I would have never been able to take this leap!
Have a lovely first weekend of December! I’m off to Dallas and Austin to visit the lovely Joslyn and Camille for a week, but I’ll be back here Monday with an exciting week of posts.

It’s been another whirlwind week – since I’ve been gone every weekend for the past three weeks I’ve never had the chance to really unpack. Yesterday I was forced to finally unpack, do laundry and then pack all over again for North Carolina. I’m in route to High Point today – it’s my first time going!! Since I haven’t had a lot of downtime to think about going I’m feeling excited, nervous (I have no idea what to expect) and a little scared. I’m excited to meet up with a fabulous group of bloggers that I consider friends (Cass, Julieann and Crystal), meet new vendors that I can potentially work with on projects and of course get inspired.
Be sure to follow me on twitter and instagram – I’ll be sharing a lot of what I’m seeing. And when I get back I’ll be posting little snippets of what I loved.
Have a lovely weekend friends!
There’s a new shop in town – Mill Mercantile. The new Noe Valley outpost of beloved men’s store Unionmade has had me anxiously awaiting it’s opening for months and months. My dear friend, Michele Janezic is the new buyer and manager. Friends, if you live in San Francisco or are coming to visit, I highly recommend stopping by the shop. As you walk in you see a beautifully curated store filled with striped shirts by Chance, scarves by Johnstons of Elgin, beauty lines you’ll begin to covet and accessories that will make your heart go pitter-patter.
Go check her out friends! You won’t regret it.
