Sacramento Street

Living With Great Style

Taking a Leap!

I’ve been waiting to reveal my news to you until my last day of work – I quit my job! I’ve been afraid, nervous and also very excited to share this with all of you because I don’t have my business page up yet, but instead of keeping it a secret I wanted to get it out there in the world. I’ll be working with design clients, styling photo shoots for publications and lookbooks, and helping small (and large) businesses grow their social media strategies.  I’m thrilled to focus on my own way now. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart and it seemed like the perfect window of opportunity to dive into this new endeavor. I know this road will be bumpy but if I didn’t take the leap I’d never know what it would be like or what I can accomplish. So, I’m giving myself this opportunity and hopefully as this window closes many more will open up to me.

I can’t wait to see Sacramento Street grow and dive into fun, challenging and exciting projects in the near future! Definitely keep me in mind if you hear of any opportunities where you think I’d fit.

Cheers to all of you for being amazing supporters of Sacramento Street – without you I would have never been able to take this leap!

Have a lovely first weekend of December! I’m off to Dallas and Austin to visit the lovely Joslyn and Camille for a week, but I’ll be back here Monday with an exciting week of posts.

xx, Caitlin

Off to High Point Market!

It’s been another whirlwind week – since I’ve been gone every weekend for the past three weeks I’ve never had the chance to really unpack. Yesterday I was forced to finally unpack, do laundry and then pack all over again for North Carolina. I’m in route to High Point today – it’s my first time going!! Since I haven’t had a lot of downtime to think about going I’m feeling excited, nervous (I have no idea what to expect) and a little scared. I’m excited to meet up with a fabulous group of bloggers that I consider friends (Cass, Julieann and Crystal), meet new vendors that I can potentially work with on projects and of course get inspired.

Be sure to follow me on twitter and instagram – I’ll be sharing a lot of what I’m seeing. And when I get back I’ll be posting little snippets of what I loved.

Have a lovely weekend friends!

xx, Caitlin

new shop: mill mercantile

There’s a new shop in town – Mill Mercantile. The new Noe Valley outpost of beloved men’s store Unionmade has had me anxiously awaiting it’s opening for months and months. My dear friend, Michele Janezic is the new buyer and manager. Friends, if you live in San Francisco or are coming to visit, I highly recommend stopping by the shop. As you walk in you see a beautifully curated store filled with striped shirts by Chance, scarves by Johnstons of Elgin, beauty lines you’ll begin to covet and accessories that will make your heart go pitter-patter.

Go check her out friends! You won’t regret it.

happy weekend!

Ahhhhh, Friday is here. It’s been quite a windswept week – literally . . . the fog has been sticking around our neighborhood which means it has been frigid. The only positive thing about it is that I could break out my new fall boots. I can’t wait for tomorrow because my cousin is moving up to San Francisco and is going to my alma-mater. A new chapter of her life is beginning and I remember how excited, nervous and overjoyed I was to go to a school where I knew nobody and it was in a big city. There isn’t anything like it, do you remember that first day of moving in? If you have any advice for her leave a comment and I’ll pass along the tips.

I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend!

xx, Caitlin
