Four Favorites: Fall Flats

Four Favorites: Flats | Sacramento Street

Each season I have to re-evaluate my flat shoe collection. Usually because I’ve been wearing them all season and they either look a) destroyed, b) they have a hole in the bottom, or c) if they haven’t been comfy enough to wear its time to make room for a new pair. With a growing bump, flats have been my best friend. I can only last about half a day in heels now. So, before the bump gets any bigger, I went on a quest to find a new assortment of flats to sport this fall. I thought I’d share my findings with all of you.

1.) ‘Wheel’ Smoking Slipper

2.) ‘Nicki’ Calf Hair Flat

3.) ‘Allot’ Ankle Cuff d’Orsay Flat

4.) ‘Amalia’ Skimmer Flat

Do you have any favorite flats I should know about? I’m constantly on the hunt!

Four Favorites : Fall Jackets

Four Favorites: Fall Jackets | Sacramento Street

Let’s be honest, when fall comes around what item do you first think about purchasing? I personally think about what jacket I’ll be investing in for fall. It’s usually the one piece of clothing that I end up wearing day in and day out – so it has to be just right. As I began my search last week for that “perfect” jacket I came across quite a handful that I fell in love with . . . which is a problem. So I need your guidance, which jacket do you adore the most? Aren’t all of them great options. Help a girl out!

Layer It : Gearing Up For Fall

Layer It: Gallery Opening | Sacramento Street

Can you believe the last weekend of summer is approaching? I honestly don’t know where the month of August went. This summer went by incredibly fast and while I’m already giddy about the crisp fall weather that is around the corner, I’m a little sad to say goodbye to impromptu trips to the beach and pool. With that being said, I wanted to inspire you for what’s to come – more layered ensembles. While this is still keeping with lighter tones I wanted to share what I’ll be sporting in the next few weeks as we see a more crisp side of things come our way. Have you spotted any pre-fall musts out there that you’re coveting?

Layer It: Fall Travel

Layer It - Travel | Sacramento StreetToday we’re launching a new series on the blog called Layer It. We’ll be taking the basics for any ensemble and adding our favorite layering pieces to give it a little personal style. If you have an outfit in mind but don’t know what to layer it with don’t fear – we’ve got you covered. From brunch with your girlfriends, to holiday parties, to traveling, to a trip to the park – we’ll be covering all the bases.

First up, fall travel. It’s that time of year where everyone is planning a trip for work or going home for Thanksgiving (can you believe it’s right around the corner – I can’t!). Since I’m an avid traveler, I’m constantly getting asked what I wear on the plane – do I wear sweats, jeans, how do I keep warm? That’s basically how this new series got created. Personally, I always go with my favorite basics on a plane – then you can’t second guess yourself. Add on a cozy scarf, boots to keep your feet warm (especially if you’re traveling to cooler temps) and then a few accessories to give it a little character. But don’t add too many because you don’t want to be that girl taking everything off in the security line. This outfit is bound to be comfortable but chic – you just can’t go wrong!

1.) Proenza Schouler Merino Wool Sweater | 2.) J Brand 620 Photo Ready Mid-rise Skinny Jeans | 3.) Marc by Marc Jacobs ‘Baker’ Leather Strap Watch | 4.) ASOS Jewel Frame Earrings | 5.) ASOS Gold Plated Chain Pinky Ring | 6.) Kate Spade New York ‘Cedar Street – Luciana’ Handbag | 7.) Burberry ‘Body’ Eau de Parfum | 8.) Echo Sparkle Reversible Tube Scarf | 9.) Rebecca Minkoff ‘Macri’ Bootie

And remember, the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale is going on right now. Save up to 40% on all of your fall essentials or start your holiday shopping early this year. I’ve already done a little damage for myself and got several items crossed off my list for family! I hope you’ve enjoyed the first of many “Layer It” features.
