There’s nothing like getting art hung on the walls to make a place truly feel like home. But if you haven’t been an art connoisseur your whole life, it can be overwhelming to know where to begin! Luckily there’s plenty of places out there to help anyone kickstart their art collection. Today on Sacramento Street Smarts we’re sharing a few of our favorites.
Tappan Collective features a wide range of beautiful pieces from emerging artists (Heather Day being a favorite). Minted is a great place to go hunting if you’re wanting to build a gallery wall. Their pieces are affordable and come in varied sizes with framing options – their new brass frames are stunning. We’re always impressed by the selection available over on One Kings Lane — they have a variety ranging anywhere from classics to emerging artists.
Both Saatchi and Art.com offer a seemingly endless library—so you’ll be sure to find something that suits your fancy doing some digging in these spots. Etsy is another great spot for affordable art. We especially love the work of Etsy artists Kristin Kirkley, Elizabeth Mayville, and Clare Elsaesser. 20×200 recently relaunched with a great, curated selection for affordable prices. And lastly, Serena & Lily is always one of our go-tos for art with a light-hearted and casual vibe.
