Summer is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated seasons of the year. Kids are out of school, the days are longer than nights, and farmers markets are overflowing with fresh fruits and vegetables.
One of my favorite parts of the season, is being able to peel off the layers of clothes we needed in the winter. Light dresses, floaty blouses with shorts, and sandals everyday. I’m sure the kiddos love this change of season as well. They are able to be outside on a daily basis, and they can also wear lighter and easier clothing. Some of my favorite outfits for this summer are those I’ve found at Old Navy. I love shopping at Old Navy since I can pick up things for my entire family in one place.
This summer, I’m completely crushing on the global look at Old Navy. It’s fun and it embraces cultures from around the world – a winning combination. There are bold graphics and hand-drawn global prints that are not only fun but also beautiful.
I dressed Jackson in a button down charcoal shirt with giraffes on it. He wants to wear it everyday! His favorite animal right now is a “agaff” (giraffe). I paired his shirt with long white shorts and white tennis shoes. I bought several pairs of the shorts – they fit so well and are perfect for San Francisco summers.
I chose to wear a floaty comfortable white blouse that works well in pregnancy (just size up) as well as post-pregnancy (I’ve been using it nursing). I selected black shorts that have an adorable hand-drawn print in white with elephants. Finally, I am wearing the best sandals with small black tassels that I love. They can be worn with so many outfits – jeans, dresses, shorts, or even a swimsuit.
Both Jackson and I loved our time together shooting this last pregnancy feature just a day before baby arrived. This will be a stay at home summer for me with a new little one, but I will be dressed globally and look forward to global trips in the very near future.
